The collection contains photographs of Harold Morris, members of his family, and various talents that his agency managed,
including the Harmonica Rascals, the Duane Dancers, Yukiko Sakakura, and Tony Martin; as well as professional correspondence;
certificates from the American Guild of Variety Artists and the American Federation of Musicians. In addition the collection
also has the lyrics of two songs written by James J. Fiatarone, the owner of the Fiat Music Company; a program for a testimonial
in honor of Miss Coralene Duane (February 25, 1984); a copy of Ruth Rubin's "A Treasury of Jewish Folksong" (1964); and photocopies
of newspaper clippings about Harold Morris, including his obituary. The collection also contains a large framed confirmation
certificate of Edward Morris from 1889.

Harold Morris was the owner of the Hal Morris Theatrical Enterprises and the Hal Morris Booking Agency, which was located
in Oakland, California. Morris was born in San Francisco, but he grew up in Oakland, where he graduated from Oakland Technical
High School. Harold Morris booked some of the most important entertainers of the day, including Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis,
Lena Horne, Mel Torme, Jefferson Airplane, and others. Harold's brother, Alvin, was an entertainer - better known under the
name of Tony Martin. Harold Morris died in Oakland on August 28, 1988 at the age of 84 years.
